the space between infinity

when I feel foundationless

I run my thumb through the cracks of the closest tree

the surface tells me a story of continuous change

supported by stillness

and annual cycles of death

two crows

speak to beauty as if

corroborating something mystical

to fruit from death's hands

nestled in destiny bird song

I breathe in remembrance

change does not occur in thought

only felt

so I close my eyes

trusting the cycles of life

following feeling

universe provides:

never forget you are alive

never forget you are alive

never forget time dissolves the birdsong

new songs take flight

never forget all you are

is flow of life

now

I repeat.

joy is like water

cyclically returning to our oceans

seeping through the cracks that make us

slowly eroding all we know

until we are forced to accept peace

now

I repeat.

take off your shoes and feel where you come from

feel the vibrations of existence

sixty beats per minute

bite deep

now

I repeat.

be tree

bird free

just breathe

now

I repeat.

just be
